Training session in Ceutí, Murcia, Spain

On 29 and 30 November 2023, Acción Familiar organized a training session in Ceutí (Murcia), involving 21 participants.

The session began with a brief introduction to the We Learn Everywhere project and its objectives. We emphasized the importance of discussing the pandemic and lockdown—a unique and unsettling social event that many of us prefer to forget, yet one we all experienced intensely and need to process and understand.

To delve deeper into this, we conducted an activity involving the personal experiences of each participant. They were asked two questions:

1. How did I experience the pandemic?

2. What role did I play during the pandemic on a social or family level?

The activity received a particularly positive response, breaking the ice and encouraging everyone to share their perspectives. This quickly fostered a climate of trust and understanding that lasted throughout the workshop. It was enriching to hear the diverse perspectives and experiences of the confinement period, creating a space for venting and listening.

Following this, a summary of the participants’ contributions was provided, and a theoretical presentation was delivered, always open to audience questions and comments.

There were many interesting contributions, as the dynamic had created a small “symbolic crisis” for some participants. This reflection helped them consider their attitudes towards difficulties and the importance of teamwork and utilizing available resources rather than focusing on what is lacking. Overall, the training session was very successful. Participants were engaged and actively involved, not only in the activities but also through their questions and contributions. The practical exercises were particularly well-received, facilitating personal and group reflection and stimulating internal growth.
