Literature reviews reveal that paternal support during the perinatal period must be rethought according to the father’s expectations and specific needs. In view of the considerable risks associated with developing paternal vulnerabilities and their negative impact on child development, in this article we offer ideas and suggestions for how to involve, inform, and support fathers during this period.
